Product Overview

Our Rosalina essential oil has an especially pleasant aroma - soft, fresh, slightly rosy, somewhat cineolic, with pine-like top notes and earthy undertones. A relative newcomer to aromatherapy (availability began in 1998[1]), Rosalina is considered to be a gentle alternative to Tea Tree with a softer aroma due to its high linalool content. Linalool may be recognized as the soft, woody aroma that dominates Rosewood and Coriander Seed, and it gives Rosalina a less cineolic and more pleasant odor, especially for massage.

Commonly known as swamp paperbark, Melaleuca ericifolia is native to Australia and grows especially in coastal regions where it is able to withstand permanently wet soil, salty conditions, and shade. Rosalina oils from the northern part of Australia are linalool-rich, while those from the southern part are cineole-rich. It is said that Rosalina has similar properties to its cousins, Tea Tree and Niaouli, and is exceedingly gentle for aromatherapy, diffusers, and topical applications, especially in children.[1]
