Product Overview

Busy bees are to thank for the aromatic masterpiece of our Beeswax Absolute -the nicest we have ever experienced. The rich warm aroma has notes of sweet honey and pollen with a soft green hay-like body note and a mild, waxy undertone. Extracted with ethyl alcohol from the honeycomb wax of bees, this excellent natural fixative[1] and familiar gourmand aroma are highly recommended for your cosmetic and perfumery creations!

Cerolein is a mixture of higher fatty acids found in beeswax and is probably responsible for the waxy/fatty notes found in Beeswax absolute.[2] From a chemical point of view, all beeswaxes are practically identical, but the aroma of each beeswax absolute has a characteristic odor left in the wax, according to where it was harvested and from what kinds of flowers the bees collected the nectar. Our Beeswax Absolute is ethanol (alcohol) extracted from beeswax after it has been harvested for honey.

In perfumery, Beeswax Absolute helps to round the edges of compositions, provide sugary sweetness to florals such as Mimosa, Tuberose, Jasmine and Rose, and complement leather, tobacco, dried fruit, gingerbread and other gourmand notes. For skincare, it’s beneficial in hand and facial creams, body oils, lipsticks, and cosmetics for all skin types.

Incredible

Take a tour inside the Queen bees chambers by trying a sample of this oil. For me I found it surprisingly sweet, like a smoldering sugar . So far this oil is my favorite !

For those who had the pleasure of tasting real fresh monofloral honey, eaten honeycomb, you will love this.

Delicious!

Rating

Don't judge this oil by first sniff out of the bottle. I just received a sample of this, and at first whiff I thought it was disgusting. It smelled like this alcohol based herbal cough remedy I used to take. I was disappointed. I decided to use some on my wrist in hopes it would dry down to the honey smell it was supposed to have. The minute I drew it from the bottle it revealed to me the sweet honey notes. But more than honey, it smelled exactly like a beehive (minus the woodsy-smell of the boxes.) If you're a beekeeper, you know what I'm talking about. It's the perfect mixture of honey, beeswax and pollen.

Sweet

Rating

Its a very sweet, hay-like scent to me but it doesn't exactly smell like honey. I actually prefer the smell of this to honey. It's a very nice sweet but calming scent. I reallllly love the undertones, its earthy but in such a perfect way. I would highly recommend this!

Delicious and sweet

Rating

This was half of my first Eden order, and it exceeded my expectations. I am new to this, and stumbled across it in trying to add a honeyed note to a fragrance. It is so warm and sweet, almost like sweet tobacco or leather. It expands and it warms and becomes the autumnal, sweet, almost musky fragrance I was hoping for!
