    Product Overview

This nourishing and Vitamin E-rich ‘dry’ oil has been gaining popularity in recent years for its ability to deeply moisturize skin and hair without greasiness. Our Argan Oil is cold pressed from the raw kernels and then gently deodorized to preserve its active nutrients and beneficial antioxidants, providing a mild to neutral odor for your formulations. Beneficial for all skin types, Argan Oil is suitable for a wide variety of formulations including facial oils, body butters, hair and scalp care, nail and cuticle oils, lip care, beard oils, and other cosmetics.

Native to Morocco where it grows almost exclusively, wild Argan trees thrive in the semi-arid southwestern Atlas Mountain area of the country. Our producer specializes in organic and locally grown seed and nut oils responsibly collected from the region, including our Prickly Pear Seed Oil – Organic.

Argan oil contains an unusually high concentration of Vitamin E (tocopherols) and a form of Vitamin A (carotenes), vital components for maintaining beautiful skin and hair. It is particularly useful in mature skin preparations, mostly attributable to its high fatty acid and essential fatty acid content. When applied as a hair oil, it softens and adds shine, protects from heat, and helps reduce frizz and breakage.

Our cosmetic grade (non-roasted) Argan Oil may be incorporated into your skin and body care preparations or can be used on its own. As a ‘dry’ oil, Argan is best used at 5% to 10% of the fixed (carrier) oil portion of massage formulas.
