Product Overview

Our organic Rose CO2 Select Extract possesses a very sweet, creamy, deeply erotic yet delicately radiant, fresh floral aroma as of roses warmed by the sun, with soft spice, herbaceous and ripe berry undertones. Its lightness and airy-ness of scent is balanced with its days-long, sultry drydown and constitutes the very essence of aromatic seduction. When compared to the scent of Rose Ottos or Rose Absolutes, the aroma of this material is said to be the most true to the scent of live roses – and our noses emphatically agree.

The total number of constituents in a hydrodistilled Rose oil (Otto) is about three times that of a CO2 extract, with the ratios being significantly different. The main distinction is seen in the phenylethyl alcohol (aka 2-phenylethanol) content; up to 50 percent is found in the CO2 extract compared with less than 5 percent in the essential oil.[1]

In addition to its varied applications in aromatherapy, this truly special Rose CO2 is perfect in premium skincare formulations and in fine perfumery compositions. Known as the oil of love, the aroma of Rose oil is said to encourage the metaphorical “opening of the heart.” It is especially esteemed for promoting spiritual wellbeing, creating a peaceful ambiance, and as an excellent companion to meditation practices.

Beautiful

Rating

This is my favorite rose, by far. It smells very sweet to me, and my 5-year-old smelled blueberries. Love it!

Rose CO2 is one of my favorites

Rating

Highly diluted, Rose CO2 gives a magical fresh rose scent. It is the closest scent to the real flower out of all the Rose extractions. I dilute this oil down ranging from 30% to 10%. The lower the dilution, the more like fresh rose the scent gets. Is a beautiful oil.

Not the best rose

Rating

I am not sure why but that oil has a very unpleasant backdrop, kind of like a moldy rag... I purchased almost every rose oil from the Eden and that one is my least favorite. Bulgaria, Morocco and Rose de Mai absolutes are much more pleasant smells.

Smells like Rose

Rating

The reason it smells like Rose is because unlike Rose Otto, the co2 extracts all the plant matter, unlike steam distilled Otto because what's lost in the extraction of Rose Otto due to the heat from the steam doesn't get lost in the co2 extraction process. Also, please don't be put off by the 'funny' smell you may 1st get. It's a sign of a *very potent* extract & as a result, the dry down reveals a powerful scent that Rose Otto simply cannot deliver & smells superior to the Absolutes.(IMHO)

Very unique rose

Rating

Very different from other rose oils I've experienced. This is deep, rich and has a dark fruit undertone that really sets it apart from other rose oils, which can come across as being rather light and ethereal to my nose.
