Distilled from the fragrant roots of a tropical grass, versatile and tenacious Vetiver essential oil is considered the most widely used fixative base note in all of perfumery. Vetiver, Java
Earthy, green, woody and rooty with cedar-like, soft smoky nuances and a deep 'boozy' note. The most dark and smoky in our collection, Vetiver, Java has a bold, extremely well-balanced, complex aroma with subtle nuances of chocolate and coffee and a sumptuous dry down. This classic, must-have fixative base note is prized by perfumers and is favored in heavier and more exotic fragrance compositions.Vetiver Madagascar - Organic
Rich, smooth, earthy and woody with subtle smoky undertones. A bit lighter than our Vetiver, Java, our Vetiver, Madagascar – Organic has a warmer drydown with gorgeous, subtle nuances of leather and sweet wood. We cultivate and distill our organic Vetiver at our farm in Madagascar along with roots we’ve obtained from local farmers through a fair-trade contract. A staff favorite, it’s a sophisticated choice for perfumery, aromatherapy, and organic cosmetics.Vetiver, India
Initially clean, clear, earthy and green-grassy, deepening in the lush dry down. Our Vetiver, India has a complex aroma with outstanding intensity, a more ‘transparent’ earthy quality, and very light smoky notes. Also known as ‘khus khus’ and the ‘oil of tranquility,’ Vetiver has a long history of use in India, its native habitat. The most viscous of our Vetivers, Vetiver, India is a robust, fixative base note for perfumery, soaps, candles, and incense.Vetiver, Haiti
Deep, slightly sweet and resinous, with pronounced woody, earthy/rooty notes and subtle hints of smoke and citrus. Vetiver, Haiti is a formulator’s dream with bright citrusy/green facets and a gorgeous depth that is persistent yet mellow and balanced.
