Product Overview

East Indian Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), also called Cochin grass or Malabar grass, is native to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand, while West Indian Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is native to South Asia and Maritime Southeast Asia. While both can be used interchangeably, C. flexuosus has higher solubility in alcohol[1] and is therefore largely used in the perfume industry.  Lemongrass essential oil is the quintessential air freshener, making it a popular addition to diffusers and room sprays, but also finds use in aromatic rubs and massage oils.

Fishy?

Rating

Arrived 4/30/23 (had it now for about 2 months, stored in fridge). This one organic batch is weird. Of all my other lemon grass I have, this one in particular is fishy smelling. Almost like Salmon Skin. I get more fish smell than I do lemon

My favorite lemongrass

Rating

The Organic Lemongrass (at least in previous batches) is bright, sweet-tart lemony--like a true, fresh stalk of lemongrass. The Wild Lemongrass is more agrestic--similar to a piece of dried lemongrass. Both are good--as there are uses for both--it just depends on what you're going for. I use this to make cleaning products for my home.

Sweet Lemon

Rating

I'm enjoying this scent, here is an everyday term most of you will know, this is very lemony but sweet, kinda sugared smell like...Lemonheads, the candy! Nice lemon to have. It's a nice strong smell that's invigorating.

Zesty Lemongrass essential oil with ease of mind

Rating

The Organic Lemongrass is a replacement for all of the harsh cleansing chemicals that I used to use. The smell is so refreshing and pure. I use organic Lemongrass in all of my household cleaners: Its antimicrobial, antiseptic, bactericidal, insecticidal and deodorizing properties make my cleaning experience much more interesting. This organic Lemongrass is an all in one. You get the benefit of aromatherapy from the smell and the cleansing benefits of having a clean house. The price is comparable to what you would pay elsewhere. EB has a great reputation of only offering the best quality of products for a reasonable price.
