Product Overview

Coriander Seed oil contains between 60-87% of the ubiquitous and gentle monoterpene alcohol, (+)-linalool (aka coriandrol). With its characteristic mild, warm and woody aroma, it is no surprise that this versatile constituent appears in many essential oils Very similar in aroma to Coriander Seed, Rosewood essential oil (up to 90% linalool) is not to our knowledge being produced sustainably – a tragic casualty of the logging and furniture industries. Coriander Seed provides a generous quantity of linalool in a more easily available and less environmentally damaging manner.

In perfumery, Coriander Seed is used for its excellent fixative qualities and blends well with other essential oils (especially to provide a masculine note), including Clary Sage, Jasmine, Neroli, Cypress, and Cinnamon. Whereas nothing can replace the great essential oil of Rosewood (from Aniba roseodora, listed by IUCN as a threatened species[2]) in formulas, our beautiful Coriander Seed CO2 has a stunning balsamic undertone very much like Rosewood in aroma but with an amazing tenacity that Rosewood lacks.

Smells heavenly

Rating

The scent of this Coriander 265 Lot 13 smells so wonderful. It took me by surprise and elevated my state a little higher. I will definitely try it in a blend with an herb and touch of floral. I don't know which ones as yet.

I am blown away by this coriander seed. I'm curious to try the CO2 version. Hands down in love. So spicy, bright and intriguing. I cant stop smelling my wrist. It has good tenacity as well. A++ EB!!

Wonderful Aroma

Rating

This is a beautiful oil. It is warm, peppery, slightly woody and floral, with a round texture. I was surprised how long it lasted on a scent strip and how it maintained its structure on the dry down. Highly recommended.

Best Spice in the World

Rating

This is my all-time favorite spice. Coriander EO is so pleasant. I am so glad EB offers this exotic spice essential oil. This smells just like fresh ground coriander seeds only stronger. This oil has a spicy warm, sweet top note and woody, mild musky undertones (masculine). I can see how EB would compare this to Rosewood; however, Coriander stands far apart from rosewood. Rosewood EO has soft, sweet, fruity and floral feminine notes to it. Coriander EO holds its own when it is blended with woody, floral and citrus
