Overview

Egyptian Jasmine Organic Extract

Our Organic Jasmine Extract has a softer and gentler character than the notoriously heady and sultry Jasmine absolutes. It is extracted with benign solvents (no hexane or petrochemical solvents used) that render the final extract Certified Organic (USDA, NOP). This oil is completely mobile, light green/brown in color, and has an exquisitely rich, captivating aroma. Finally, a certified organic Jasmine that can be used for aromatherapy applications, as well as in high-end natural and organic perfumery.

Jasmine vines in full flower have a voluptuous aroma that surrounds and embraces anyone who passes. Indeed, no other floral aroma can compare to Jasmine’s legendary effects. In very minute amounts, Organic Jasmine Extract is a precious addition to skincare formulations, especially for those geared toward dry or aging skin.1 The sensual and uplifting aroma is a welcome addition in massage blends for sensitive individuals, new mothers, and lovers alike. The aroma of Jasmine is said to blend with virtually everything and is an indispensable ingredient for the aromatherapy enthusiast and natural perfumer.

PLEASE NOTE: This extract is soluble in fixed oils only. It is not soluble in alcohol or alcohol-based perfumes.

Fresh Olive Family Vibes Review by

I ordered this along with jasmine sambac and jasmine co2 and they are all amazing in their own right.
This jasmine O.E. seemed to hold nothing back about it's family of origin when it hit me with a fresh olive note upon opening the vial compared to the initial indole bite of the absolute. On a strip the OE quickly softens to something more fruity and a bit more green; perhaps similar to j. sambac yet still sweet like the j. grand it is... but less powdery of a dry down.
I love all of these jasmines, each with it's own unique character.

Big No for the Jasmine Review by

It was off smelling, so offensive I had to throw the bottle away. Smelled rancid and of dirty socks. I used it in a lotion and let it sit for a while to see if the smell would get better, it
Did not.

Quick note about the "Olive" Scent Review by
Rating

In addition to my previous review, I just read a bit more about Jasmine and it's actually in the Oleaceae family- related to the olive tree, so I guess it makes more sense that it might carry a scent that is reminiscent of olives! Interesting to know, and I absolutely love this oil! Thanks Eden Botanicals!!

I've never purchased any kind of jasmine oil, but I absolutely love this. I am glad that a couple other people have mentioned the "Olive" scent, because at the very "end" of the smell it has a sort of brine-y scent, much like the salty brine in a jar of olives. Really interesting and can't wait to use it. The initial scent is all floral and gorgeous. Absolutely love this oil!

Right out of the bottle was a delight. Looking forward to getting more and diluting it for a single note and to blend with other white florals. Classic fruity banana-peach smoothie, quite nectarous and pairs well with Eden's Organic orange blossom extract. Nice waxy silky dryout. Undiluted and left in sampler for some time unrefrigerated, the waxy can get fatty and the indole can really get intense. Diluted and well stored, this stuff is amazing. A little of Eden's agarwood Co2 makes a strawberry jam effect, like fruit roll-ups or something but better.

This is a very sweet organic extract of jasminum grandiflorum...gentle and definitely not overbearing. Has all the fruit/floral notes I so enjoy, and a very noticeable green note which seems common to all of the organic extracts. Induces a feeling of lighthearted giddiness. Very easy to work with.

one of the reviewers mentioned olives, but no one else mentioned the same. I am glad I started with a sample; I agree with the "...olives?" review. I get an herby, green, and olives aroma -- and very little of the jasmine aroma I am looking for.

I am in LOVE with this smell. I ordered one sample with my first order from here as well as multiple other EOs and this is by far my favorite smell. I would like to sample the other jasmine oils as well but this is the only organic one on here as far as I know. I plan on ordering a bottle as soon as I can afford it. Definitely worth the money.

...olives? Review by

i got the jasmine sampler pack, and the first thing i get straight out of this bottle is olives. spanish olives with pimentos--green, fatty, salty, and bitingly sour. the jasmine blooms under that, but its freshness, greenness, is still very pronounced compared to the other varieties carried by eden botanicals. i also don't catch the indolent base as readily, or really much at all; jasmine sambac absolute yells its "gas station bathroom" smell right into my nose, but this jasmine prefers to hammer more with its brightness. wonderful for when you want a jasmine note in a blend but you don't necessarily want to bring on board the usual decadence/"dirtiness" of richer, fuller-bodied varieties.

This is intoxicating, I can't stop smelling it! Even just the tiniest drop can transform a perfume, so add slowly - it will "bloom" over days. I find the scent very honey-like and rich.

As the description says, it is indeed lighter and fresher than the classic absolutes. Just lovely, and a close 2nd after the CO2 extract for me.

more true to my summer jasmine than any absolute Review by

I intend to buy this marvelous extract. In my opinion it smells like the warm night breeze through the jasmine that surrounds an old stony mansion in our seaside promenade. It's greener, softer and not as sweet as the grandiflorum from India that's lovely on it's own merit. I also feel a more pronounced indolic heart. Exquisite.
