For amber soapmakers wishing to create their own luscious amber soap, we suggest Premium Dark Amber, a traditional amber resin with a deep, sensual and mysterious aroma. In addition to the Premium Dark Amber, we suggest adding a small amount of Amber – Pure & Simple at the end of saponification. Amber – Pure & Simple is designed as an economical amber-scented base oil for soapmakers. It has an energetic and long-lasting scent. Using Amber – Pure & Simple along with the Premium Dark Amber resin will strengthen the fragrance and add an additional emollient quality to your soap.

To use Premium Dark Amber in soap formuals, finely chop or crush the resin and add it to the oil portion of your formula. Heat the oil and resin to its melting point of approximately 103 degrees. Once melted, stir to mix the amber evenly. Then proceed with the saponification process. In addition to the enticing fragrance, the amber resin will lend a pleasing deep brown color and a slight texture to your soap.

Eden Botanicals offers our web customers an inexpensive way to sample all of our crystallized essences and essence oils. Our crystallized essence samples are small pieces enclosed in a zip lock bag with a label.

Each sample contains enough essence to use several times. Our essence oil samples come in small glass vials with an applicator top. Each vial holds approximately 1 ml (.03 ounce).

The first Sample Pack contains all 11 of our crystallized essences only, while the second Sample Pack contains all 10 Essence Oils only.

(Please note: the essence oils are our proprietary blends and not essential oils.)

The third Sample Pack includes all 11 Crystallized Essences and all 10 Essence Oils. In other words, it is a combination of both the first and second Sample Packs and is less expensive than buying them seperately.

For those who are only interested in our amber essences and our amber oils, the fourth Sample Pack contains our 2 amber resins (Amber Essence and Premium Dark Amber) and our 5 amber oils (Amber Essence Oil, Amber - Pure & Simple, Amber Rose, Amber Royale and Patchouli Amber Spice).
