Customer Reviews for Amber Oil, Fossilized EO
- Amber Review by Mazen

Rating fossilized note, unique in sense that's it's not similar to the ambery-powedery notes of Labdanum.(Posted on 11/28/2023)
- Mechanic workshop, bulldozer, asphalt rink Review by Alex
-
Rating Beautiful smell, some kind of old equipment, such as a bulldozer or an asphalt rink, with a note of some very noble wood. Very earthy, dark smell of low frequencies.(Posted on 11/11/2023)

- Diluted 50% Review by Jolie

Rating I need to add: I diluted it by half with jojoba oil OMG!! Changed it into a mess of smoke and darkness, could stand on its own, a mysterious depth.(Posted on 5/8/2019)
- Get the full strength, not the dilution Review by Jolie

Rating This has depth! I kept reading about a Amber and notes and from the dilution that I had bought for before I could not make the connection. Yes it is a long lazy aroma . It will be reminiscent of plastics or gasoline or rather they are reminiscent of it because this came from but they really don’t have anything to do with each other. There are no harsh notes there are no top notes. This starts as an under smell, a base note that is almost indistinguishable from the air we breathe and then it opens up into something low and deep .(Posted on 5/7/2019)
- Great long-lasting Review by Melinda

Rating I believe this is what I bought some years ago. I'm ordering just a sample to make sure. If it is the same it is amazing. I've had mine for maybe 10 years and it still is sweet and smoky and very strong. I hope it's the same!(Posted on 2/5/2019)

Rating Amber Oil is a truly remarkable and somewhat bizarre scent. A quick clarification: this is actual amber, it does NOT smell like the note that's referred to as "Amber" in perfumery. "Amber" as a note is powdery and balsamic, often made out of vanilla, labdanum, etc. This on the other hand is actual amber which comes from fossilized tree sap and is absolutely nothing like the familiar note.(Posted on 1/3/2017)
It lasts forever and right at the start it smells like pine, synthetic leather, a little bit of smoke and a bit like gasoline. It's in-your-face, no subtlety whatsoever. Once things start to fade a bit, the smokey, leathery, piney qualities remain and you can smell it for hours and hours. I have yet to actually use it in a blend because I'm terrified of it, yet it's also awe-inspiring and I think I will be experimenting with it more going forward. This is not a scent to miss.
- A jurassic journey Review by Shine

Rating I ordered this for my father who is a geologist, I could not resist opening it myself to see what it was like, I soon found myself wishing I had bought two. The smell is very earthy , almost like walking close to the surface of a mountain or going behind a waterfall . It gave me a sense of timelessness and deep wisdom that I hoped would never fade.(Posted on 7/6/2016)
I would recommend wearing this oil closer to the head for example on the temples because its very subtle, once you do smell it you will realize that sometimes the more quiet scents say the most.
- Mastic Review by Cananga odorata

Rating I'm sure many who are familiar with it would agree, it smells like mastic. When diluted it reveals that beautiful amber note common in fragrances.(Posted on 4/20/2016)
