Rating I was hesitant to try this because of some of the negative reviews, and a personal dislike for the intense indole smell from eden's Jasmine grandiflora India... but I took a chance and ordered a 1ml... wow, this stuff smells like paradise. Thank you Eden!(Posted on 11/21/2019)

Rating This absolute is extremely smooth and relaxing. I have yet to use this oil in a blend, but it’s sole purpose seems to be for me to smell it right out of the bottle every chance I get. It’s honey/banana like musk aroma has become my all time favorite.(Posted on 4/29/2019)
- Chemical Smell Review by Nicole

Rating I read some of the other reviews before I purchase this Jasmine from Eden Botanicals and the others are correct. There is a strange chemical or medicinal iodine like smell to this oil.(Posted on 2/4/2018)
From the oil room:
Thank you for writing. Aromatic oils such as essential oils, absolutes and organic extracts are very concentrated - in that form, the aroma (especially as smelled from the container) is not representative of how it is when diluted to a percentage that accurately displays the scent.
Dilution is required, sometimes to as low as 5-10 percent in order to get a true read of the aroma. Or, if you have not already done so, another suggestion is to use a fragrance tester strip (https://www.edenbotanicals.com/products/containers-accessories/fragrance-tester-strips.html) to assess the aroma of our Jasmine Absolutes, either diluted or undiluted. In this way, the oil is exposed to air so it can evaporate and allow for thorough aromatic assessment during the complete drydown of the oil.

Rating I'm just starting the hobby of perfume making. I wanted to get away from synthetics and this is my first foray into essential oils. I wanted to make a simple jasmine perfume by mixing the absolute with the carrier oil. I made a 5% solution. To me it smells slightly medicinal and not floral at all. I'm hoping it just needs to mature. Not pleased at all with the fragrance that it is right now.(Posted on 10/16/2016)

Rating About thirty years ago, I found a tiny bottle of the smoothest, divine jasmine from Morocco. It was sweet, light, "dry", and lasted forever. In those wanton days, I plowed through, figuring I could get more at any time. Ha! Was I wrong?(Posted on 2/23/2015)
I just tried the tiny sample of Egyptian jasmine, and it's the same to my olfactory memory. Sweet, slightly animalic, fresh (some jasmines are just too "dense"), smelling so clearly of its parent flower.
I've noticed that some of the best material (absolutes) come from dry places: Afghani rose, Moroccan and Egyptian jasmine (the smoothest, creamiest), Egyptian neroli, alpine lavender, Spanish mimosa, fig. I just like, to my nose, what dry climates do to their plants.

Rating Egyptian Jasmine G.; This is another WOW! It's kind of like a combination of Jasmine Grandiflorum and J. Sambac. It has a fresh, fruity drydown. it lasts SO long. I got my order last Saturday; the smelling strip still smells of it! I've been getting the one from India and while this is more expensive I'm REALLY tempted to use this one instead. Simply gorgeous.(Posted on 2/27/2013)
