Sweet warmth in a bottle Review by

What a gorgeous, complex, sweet scent. When I dilute this by gently warming and it blends nicely. Whenever I smell Immortelle, I detect honey, butterscotch, tobacco, green herbs, and a touch of healthy musky sweat - in a good way. Every perfume needs a little funk to feel rounded and complete, like adding a little salt to a cake. A little bit goes a long way. Try with dark patchouli and roasted coffee EO. It's amazing!

gourmande hay bale Review by

This batch is fully consistent with my previous obtained directly from the producer. This went into solution at 1:1.8 (by mass) in 95EtOH (assisted by a platform shaker); the 8-oz bottle from Eden yielded 262 grams of immortelle. Much more here than curry and cut hay. I've never really figured it out; but I like the way it makes me feel. I can recognize its role in the original AG Sables (EdP strength as Annick mixed it), but this absolute is more grounded, less maple, less pepper, more peaceful.

Winner Absolute Review by

A few days ago I am working with this absolute immortal for the development of a masculine perfume and everything happened like this: a clothing brand in Colombia contacted me to formulate a masculine fragrance with notes of liquor, wine and coffee memories. I immediately went to immortall Abs. EB .. in a series of 4 samples, the one that had an absolute immortality as the central theme was the winner and they told me that it smells exactly what we want ... Sweet wine, coffee with honey and this was a formula: 5% SOLUTION! that had kept for two years ... a total of 12 aromatic compounds subtly wrapped by this spectacular immortal for an initial production of 400 perfumes and will take proud 15 ml of this Absolute ...

Curry/ changing into honey hay and more Review by

This stuff is thick like epoxy, the first whiff is curry, definitely culinary. I took out the equivalent of a couple of drops and put it into FCO. I think it has dissolved, the scent changed completely hay honey slight floral, all low, persistent still a slight touch of curry. Very complex, very long lasting in paste form.
Worth the money, I am grateful to be able to buy in such a small amount, EB you are so very good to us to cater at this level.
This is the kind of scent that is what makes it fun to create.

Buy this immortal a few years ago, I have it at 5% ethanol solution, the aroma of wine in the drying is delicious, elegant and unisex .. heno like, sweet, floral, honey... the duration is ETERNAL and I use it as a fragrance fixer. Good perfume eden!

I am impressed by the tenacity of this--everlasting absolute indeed! Will stay on skin morning to night. To me this smells like honey, a touch of brown sugar or maple (or is it caramel?), a light muskiness, and the slightest tobacco note peeking out in the very back. I don't detect anything green or herbaceous, unless it is very dry or resinous--this fragrance is equal parts powdery and pleasantly sticky.
It brings to mind the color brown, homey kitchens, and a warm retro folksiness. Works well in balancing out the bluntness of absolutes like Cassie or Violet Leaf. I really really like this stuff, and yes, I agree it succeeds as a single scent too.

Admittedly, when I first got this I was bracing myself for a very heady and intolerable aroma, but I was surprised at how nice this is. The descriptions are right on. This is a green, hay-like aroma with a darker musky undertone, but the best part about Immortelle is that it has a "golden"honeyed nuance that makes it pleasant.

While I can see how this note could easily overpower a composition, it is not cloying or heady.

Very nice and useful!

Just blended an old-style French fougere using this Immortelle as the coumarin note. I had no problem mixing it straight into 190 ethanol at room temperature just by several minutes of shaking. The olfactory description is spot on with notes of sweet hay (though not as grassy) with light floral and honey undertones. It is also very long lived as after 18 hours on a strip it even outlasted the oakmoss within the blend. Nice product.

This is my favorite EO hands down! It's absolutely rapturous! It's a complete perfume in and of itself. I'm going to try adding a little benzoin though to hopefully extend the top notes. It's nice with labdanum but labdanum is distinctive and adds too much of its own scent. I just want to smell the immortelle :)
