Overview

Organic Sea Buckthorn CO2 Total Extract

Our Sea Buckthorn CO2 total extract is an exceptionally gentle, carrot-colored oil with an aroma that is pleasantly subtle. It is a rich source of nutrients for the skin, containing essential fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins A and E, as well as beta-carotene, giving it a deep red-orange color. Adding just a few drops of this oil per ounce gives a fantastic color to your formulas. Palmitoleic acid (an Omega-7), a component that is also naturally found in the skin,  lends nourishing and moisturizing properties.

The presence of carotenoids, linoleic and α-linoleic acids (Omegas -3 and -6) in this product may nourish sun-exposed skin, while the emollient properties provide welcome hydration. Sea Buckthorn CO2 may also be used to benefit the scalp.

Our Sea Buckthorn CO2 contains a small percentage of Rosemary CO2 Antioxidant to help maintain freshness.

Gorgeous rich wonderful oil Review by

I love this stuff, wonderful for the skin and has a lovely fruity floral aroma. Such a treat! In the UK sea buckthorn Berry was apparently one of the only sources of vitimin C through the winter months and a drink was made with the soft berries that turn to juice as soon as they're picked/stripped from the spikey thorns. I even tincture this in alcohol then freeze filter it as it adds a lovely fragrance to my perfumes with a few charges, and I just love that I can put it in there. The colour may be an issue for some but it's so gorgeous I don't care.

Wonderful use before and after sun-exposure Review by

I decided to create a combination of Sea Buckthorn Co2, Rosehip Seed Oil and the Essential Oil of Helichrysum to take to Hawaii.
It was an experiment to see how it would work with the sun exposure.
I applied it before and after being outside in the sun. ( Yes, I wore a hat and sat in the shade a lot as well, but I still came home with a wonderful, soft tan).
This oil combination did the trick. I even got complimented at the gym the other day, regarding my beautiful skin and the nice tan I had.
I use this oil every day now, since it seems to heal and soothe my skin, period. Thank you for a great product!

This oil is of very good quality! Will definitely be purchasing more to mix with my rosehip oil. Also going to try the raspberry oil too.

this is the best sea buckthorn berry CO2 I've found, and for such a great price! I love the color it adds to the product, plus the results after use. Definitely use in a small amount as others have said. Not much is needed to get great effects, plus it does stain and is kind of heavy on the skin otherwise. It's got a pleasant fruity scent as well.

I love this oil. It's a dry oil. Mixes well with other carrier oils. Gives my skin a nice glow. Smells delightful.

The sea buckthorn berry oil is one of my favorites!! I never want to be without it. Very calming and soothing for my skin. Plus I love the berry scent. I blend this with argan and rosehip carrier oils (also from EB). The color is naturally dark orange/red and you don't need to add a lot to make a blend (I add about 15% of the SBB oil with other carrier oils). I make small batches each week and rotate different EOs into the blend (frankincense, myrrh, geranium). I like Eden Botanical's SBB oil the best, very high quality oil!

This has now become my one of my favorite skin oil (along with tamanu and rose hip) and I've tried them all! It moisturizes without making my skin oily, banishes dry spots and patchiness, and reduces inflammation. Not sure if it has actually reduced any of my wrinkles but I sure look less wrinkly because my skin isn't dry anymore! I use it undiluted even though some people complain about the bright red colour... I actually love the added colour on my skin, after I apply makeup it just looks like I'm slightly tanned! Oh, and it smells sooooo lovely. I almost want to drink it.

Yes, very unusual, as total CO2 extract of buckthorn is hard to find. Smells like it looks---luscious, and good for you. Am adding it to my facial creams and the pigmented colour does not stain on the skin this way. Well, I must admit when I first got it I immediately smeared it all over my face not caring about the saturated colour. My skin never had it so good! Hah!

This is a great product but only a little amount can be used in products for facial application because the color is so rich and will stain. Hopefully EB can start stocking the Sea Buckthorn seed CO2 in addition to the berry CO2.

Coveted for it's rare omega 7 fatty acid, I was pleasantly surprised by this oil. Yes, it has a bright characteristic red color indicating its high phytonutrient density. Smells fantastic and seems to love on my skin. I love that this is a CO2. So clean and pure. I have not found this quality of sea buckthorn preparation in other places.
