Overview

Orange Essence Oil

Orange Essence Oil is distinct from other orange oils that are cold pressed from the peels – in this case the juice is cold pressed from sweet oranges yielding a fragrant watery pulp that is then centrifuged. In the final step, the essence oil is obtained via evaporation. The aroma is intensely pleasing, possessing a sweet tanginess in the drydown and is nearly indistinguishable from that of freshly squeezed orange juice. We recommend Orange Essence Oil when a unique and true-to-fruit, fresh citrus note is desired. For aromatherapy applications, Orange Essence Oil may be used in the same way as Sweet Orange.

As usual, limonene is the primary constituent of this citrus fruit oil, but along with its complement of sister terpenes, the bright aroma is supported by a tiny army of charming lemony aldehydes that lend tenacity to this volatile top note – a desirable natural perfumery benefit that cold pressed orange peel oils do not share to the same degree.

Favorite orange EO! Review by

This is hands down my favorite orange EO! Unlike other orange oils that smell like you're peeling the fruit, this literally smells JUST like a glass of OJ. It smells exactly the way orange juice TASTE. It's amazing, & will definitely be a repurchase!

(I'm not sure if this will turn out as a 5 star or a 1 star review, since there are only dots, no numbers or stars beside the dots to indicate whether they are in ascending or descending order. So I just guessed. But it's SUPPOSED to be a 5 star!!)

This is a delicious smelling oil. I can see it as a fresh topnote in light and refreshing fragrances, boosting a heady floral, and just making a person want a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. Yum!

A gorgeous sunshine topnote Review by

Orange Essence is unique among so many orange notes available to the perfumer. As it is distilled from the juice and not the rind of the sweet orange it imparts a pure, liquid sunshine quality with sugary sweetness that is not at all "fake" or saccharin like. It has impressive longevity and diffusion within any topnote accord but doesn't overpower. This oil is a gem.
