Product Overview

The blossoms come from the Bitter Orange tree (Citrus aurantium var. amara), a resilient evergreen that belongs to the Rutaceae family; these are the same flowers that are used to extract Orange Blossom Absolute. The Bitter Orange is also the source of expressed oil from the peel, and Petitgrain essential oil steam distilled from the leaves. Two constituents present in Neroli in minute amounts are worth noting: N-methyl anthranilate - with its sweet and fruity nuances, and indole - a compound found in animal feces that perfumers use in imperceptible amounts for its erotic nature.[4] Flower oils truly represent the highest expression of beauty the botanical world has to offer.

Orange Blossom (Neroli) was first introduced as a fashionable scent near the end of the 17th century by Marie-Anne de La Trémoille, Duchess of Bracciano, later known as the Princess of Nerola. She loved the scent of orange blossoms and used it to perfume her clothes, gloves and bath; since then, this beautiful essence has been known as Neroli.[5] Today Neroli essential oil is widely used in perfumery and skincare, particularly in formulations for dry and mature skin. The comforting aroma is lovely in nighttime sprays, relaxing baths, massage blends and diffusers.

Wow!

Rating

I'm a fan of Neroli, finding the scent that truly captures the scent of my backyard proves challenging, however, Eden Botanicals' new addition of Neroli Morocco is, INDEED, that of fresh orange blossom growing in Florida. This particular Neroli is multi-faceted and round, lingering. Usually I have Neroli Egypt on-hand as it was as close to the "fresh-picked" scent as I could find. I'll keep this essential oil in-stock at my home as long as Eden Botanicals sells it. I'll also pick up Neroli Egypt from time-to-time though Neroli Morocco is my personal favorite. This one easily combines with Frankincense Oman for a real treat! This Neroli combines with so many though I usually just use this on my skin every day.

Lovely

I grew up in southern California with a backyard full of lemon, orange, and tangerine trees and a wall of honeysuckle vines - this is the scent of my childhood in Spring. Truly lovely.

By far the best

Rating

After experimenting several times with all of the nerolis in the sample pack, I tried to convince myself that one of the less expensive varieties was just as nice as this organic Moroccan neroli. But time after time, this is the one that starts out stronger, has more longevity, and smells sweeter than even EB's French neroli. In the end, I decided it was well worth a few more dollars.

Refreshing and Distinctive

Rating

This organic Neroli from Morocco is refreshing and distinctive. It has a spicy aroma with sweet, and flowery notes. It is regarded to be non-photoxic on it's own. It blends well with various floral absolutes, and virtually any citrus oils. I have had patients report that using this oil has, "reduced my tension and anxiety." It is also believed to contain the element to increase one's circulation. It's a wonderful oil. Everyone should own a vial of this invaluable oil.
