Product Overview

Jasmine has been among the principal ingredients of more than 80% of all quality perfumes and a third of all men’s fragrances.[4] The sensual aroma is exhilarating and playful, and according to Patricia Davis, brings together the fiery dynamism associated with the masculine aspect (yang) and the soft earthiness of the feminine (yin).[5] The uninhibited aroma evokes lightness and joy, setting the stage for physical awareness and imagination. It is no wonder that the flowers, thought to awaken the spiritual nature of intimacy, have been used traditionally in some cultures to decorate the bed of newlyweds. In magical spiritual traditions, Jasmine is used as a devotional anointing oil and is worn for blessings and good luck.[6]

One look at the chemistry of this seductive aroma explains a lot about its sensual appeal. Amid a bouquet of complex flowery esters, including methyl anthranilate, is the queen of floral aromas, indole, but only if smelled in low concentrations; it occurs naturally in human feces and, at full strength, has an intense fecal odor. At very low concentrations, however, it is intensely floral and appears in some of the sweetest blossoms – for example Narcissus, Jonquil, Honeysuckle, Champaca and Neroli – and is highly regarded in natural perfumery. The aroma of Jasmine is said to blend with virtually everything and is an indispensable ingredient for the natural perfumer.

Sexy, Seductive...Whoa!!!

Rating

I've sampled the Indian, Egyptian and the Sambac. It’s still quite powerful at 1%, didn't use it in a blend yet, but getting a nice banana milk note mainly in the Egyptian Jasmine

Quite Floral

Rating

This is such a potent floral aroma for being a ten percent dilution, but I expected that. It smells beautiful. This fragrance is more floral than the "jasmine organic extract", which I also love, but the organic extract has a strong fruity note that I pick up on. One of my good friends really loves true Jasmine fragrance and I know she will be very pleased with this as a birthday gift. 5 stars! :)

Smells like jasmine sambac

Rating

I ordered both jasmine india and jasmine Egypt (lot 6) and to my surprise, jusmine egypt smells almost identical to jasmine sambac that ordered from Eden before. I didn’t like it because i was expecting grandiflorum like jasmine, not sambac.

Relaxing, beautiful

Rating

This is a must. A few drops of this can be used as perfume alone, but this floral would mix well with frankincense, myrhh, a gentle rose, sandalwood, small amounts of other woods, neroli or orange blossom. I find it refreshing, relaxing, sweet but not too much. It's a fine balance. Not too green. Not very indolic unless used in large amounts. It's summer in a bottle!

Not Bad

Rating

But, it's not the Jasmine smell I've always known and loved. It has a different side note that I'm not used to smelling with Jasmine. Again, it's not bad, but not what I was wanting. I'll try the Indian type next.
