Product Overview

Rosehip Seed CO2 carrier oil is extracted from the seeds of the wild Rose, Rosa canina, which can be found in many parts of the world and native to Europe, Asia, and Northern Africa. The hips of Roses are the fruiting bodies – the reproductive part of these exalted flowers – that develop post-fertilization; when petals fall, the hips (uteruses) enlarge with seeds that are notoriously rich in Vitamin C – about 20 times as much as the Vitamin C in oranges.[1]  However, this water-soluble nutrient does not appear in the CO2 extract or in the pressed oil.[2]

Please note that the low temperature CO2 extraction process (up to 104˚F/40˚C) for carrier oils ensures a product that more closely resembles what is found in the raw plant material and has a longer shelf life than cold pressed carrier oils.[7] In addition, CO2 carrier oils meet strict heavy metal requirements and contain no carbohydrates, protein, or inorganic salts.[8]

Our organic Rosehip Seed CO2 contains a small percentage of Rosemary Antioxidant CO2 – Organic  to help maintain freshness.

The BEST rosehip oil

Rating

This is not only my favorite rosehip oil, it's my favorite all-around face oil hands down. I actually mix it 50/50 with squalane oil from another brand because it's so potent. It is far superior to any other rosehip oil I've use (and I've used a lot!) The smell is intoxicating -- like an earthy floral tea, unlike other brands I've tried which smell like vegetable oil. My skin looks so much brighter and smoother using this!

Best Quality

I have a rosehip oil from another reputable seller and this one is so much more potent. I wish I could post a picture showing the comparison in color. This one is so much darker in color!

Homemade anti-ageing face serum

Rating

I used rose hip seed oil mixed with jojoba oil as a base oil for my homemade anti-ageing face serum. Rose hip oil soaks into the skin easily and dose not leave a greasy feeling. it is a source of natural vitamin E and vitamin A. It is great for healing damaged skin, scars and fine lines.

nice

Rating

In the past I have used Rosehip Seed Oil as one of my base oils but this can be used at a lower percentage with apparently higher efficacy. I also love that it's a CO2 and not a pressed oil. So much cleaner. Plus, it has a much more mild scent almost like tea rather than the traditional pressed / fixed oil which for whatever reason smells to me like mayonnaise.
