Lavender Samples

Details

Those who know Lavender insist on having a collection – one oil doesn’t say it all. Only the most cursory exploration of the Lavenders reduces this very expressive botanical to two compounds – the woody, cool linalool and the powdery, floral linalyl acetate. Italy, France, Spain and Bulgaria offer suitable terrain for this hardy, tolerant plant, and the oils express this habitat difference by developing innovative chemical adaptations – smell variations. Here is an opportunity to compare and contrast oils from the same botanical, grown in different countries, at different altitudes with different soil and climate factors.

Overview

Oils in the Lavender Aroma Family include the following (subject to individual availability):

Lavandin, Grosso - Organic Sample (1 ml):
Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. This fine quality Lavender hybrid has a wonderfully clear and green aromatic balance between floral, herbal & camphoraceous notes.

Lavender, Spike - Organic Sample (1 ml): Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. Fresh, sharp,  lavender-like, camphoraceous aroma with a dry herbal/woody undertone. Excellent in a diffuser with its substantial percentage of 1,8-cineole.

Lavender - High Elevation Sample (1 ml):
Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. A very refined green, floral, sweet herbaceous Lavender - clear and fresh. Renowned for its calming aroma; a perfect choice for skincare preparations.

Lavender - Wild Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. Very fresh, floral, soft green, herbaceous aroma with smooth diffusive notes; ideal for skincare preparations.

Lavender, France - Organic Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. A classic, true Lavender from the European terrain where it is most at home.

Lavender, Bulgaria - Organic Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. A smooth, complex almost intricate Lavender from a country known for  producing some of the world’s most beautiful Rose oils.

Lavender Absolute Sample (1 ml): Use: Natural Perfumery. Smooth, soft, green and luscious, with rich coumarin-like sweetness that resembles the fresh botanical material. An essential element in the perfumer’s palette.

Lavender, Maillette Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. Lavender Maillette’s clear, crystalline top notes, sweet-herbaceous floral and soft green/woody undertones make for a most complex & exceptional aroma. A very elegant offering.

Lavender, Seville - Organic Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. Spanish Lavenders, like this L. stoechas species, are more energetic, more pungent and even somewhat un-Lavender-like. This essential oil’s aroma has exquisite sweet apricot/fig/dried fruit notes carried on cognac-like vapors with leather, dried fruit and deep Lavender notes in the long drydown.

Lavender, Italy - Organic Sample (1 ml): Use: Aromatherapy/Natural Perfumery. Our gorgeous organic Lavender from Italy has very deep, sweet, vibrant and lively Lavender-floral middle notes and lingering ethereal top notes.
